Frequently Asked Questions About Not Tonight Deer
Q. How do you apply Not Tonight Deer? A. Not Tonight Deer is a powder which you mix with water and spray on the plants you want to protect. When the deer smell the food they are repelled by the smell of the eggs. The pepper is a taste deterrent. Not Tonight Deer is not a "perimeter" repellent which is applied around the edge of your garden. You have to spray any plants you want protected from deer.
Q. You can use a hose attached spray bottle to apply Not Tonight Deer? A. Some work, some spray bottles will have a hard time if the solution is to thick. I poke a few holes through the top of a 1 liter beverage bottle and use it to sprinkle Not Tonight Deer on my plants.
Q. How often do you have to apply Not Tonight Deer? A. Every ten days to two weeks. Deer are creatures of habbit and will eventually stop coming around when they learn there is no appealing food available. However if a new herd comes by and your plants are not treated, they will enjoy a fine meal.
Q; Will Not Tonight Deer wash of in the rain? A: We do not put any sticking agents in the our formulation so that Not Tonight Deer can be used on food crops. Therefore it will wash off in rain. If you add a few teaspoons of cooking oil or a "spread sticker" (which you can buy at most nurseries) to the liquid it will increase the "stickability" of the product through rain. Keep in mind that even products with mylar based sticking agents wash off in heavy rain.
Q. Is Not Tonight deer safe to use in areas where children or pets play? A. Yes, Not Tonight Deer is safe to use in areas frequented by children and pets.
Will Not Tonight Deer work against any other animals. A. No
